Our obsession with Barbie, the queen of the toy doll, began way back in 1959. This was the year that Barbie arrived into our world and also the year she made her first television debut. The advertisement shows Barbie in her original zebra-print bathing suit as well as a parade of her outfits: from her eveningwear to her wedding dress.

Ever since then, Barbie has seen no drop in popularity and she has consistently been the one toy doll every girl wants to own. This reinvention saw Barbie with longer, fuller hair starting at the top of her head and going all the way down to her toes.
